To reach Montrose from Binghamton, NY, and other points NORTH. Take I-81 South to the Exit 1 for Kirkwood, NY. This is the last exit for I-81 in NY State. At the end of the ramp turn Right. Follow to the traffic light on Route 7. Turn Left. Follow the Detour signs as State Route 29 is closed for major construction. You will eventually come to Route 706. Once on Route 706, follow this into the Montrose downtown. The Chocolate Shop is just past the Traffic Light on the Left.
To reach Montrose from Clarks Summit and Scranton, PA. From Scranton, take either I-81 or State Route 11 to Clarks Summit, PA. Once in Clarks Summit, follow Route 11 North. Continue on Route 11 passing Factoryville and Nicholson. At the blinking light on Route 11 in Hop Bottom, PA, turn Left. In two blocks, turn Right on Route 167 North. Follow about 7 miles to the Stop Sign. Continue to follow Route 167 by turning Left. Go 4 miles to Montrose. Stay on Route 167 into town. The Chocolate Shop is in the center of town just past the Traffic Light.
To reach Montrose from Wilkes-Barre and other points SOUTH. Follow I-81 North of Harrisburg. Take Exit 170 B for Wilkes-Barre, Route 309.
Follow Route 309—it crosses the valley as an elevated highway. Pass all exits (1 through 6). Eventually 309 bears Right and Route 415 goes straight. Stay on Route 309 North.
The Route changes route number to State Route 29 before the town of Tunkhannock. Make no turns, continue following Route 29 through Tunkhannock, Lake Carey (off to the Right), Lemon, Springville, Dimock (with a blinking light), and South Montrose (with a blinking light). Follow another 3 miles into Montrose. At the traffic light, turn Left. The Chocolate Shop will be on your Left.
To reach Montrose from Wyalusing and other points WEST. Follow Route 706 east into Montrose. As you enter the town itself, you will see the traffic light ahead. The Chocolate Shop is just before the traffic light on the Right.
To reach Montrose from New Milford and other points EAST. Leave New Milford on Route 11 South (an extension of Main Street). A little over a mile south of town, bear Right on Route 706 West. Follow about 7 miles to Montrose. Continue following Route 706 into Montrose to the traffic light. The Chocolate Shop is just after the traffic light on the Left.
